The entire IntelliTeam met this week (12.07.2017) for an amazing workshop at the BIZ in St. Pölten. The main goal of this workshop entiteled “Pimp our Brian” was to prepare for the upcoming presentation at the annual ESMAC conference in Trondheim. All our team members were eager to learn something new about methods like Statistical […]

Children´s Knees Team Update

We have a new temporary team member! Florian Kastner is participating as a trainee in the Children`s Knees Project during July. Before starting the last year of his studies at secondary school, he is greatly supporting the Children´s Knees team in terms of processing motion capture data. Stay tuned for more news about our Project.

IntelliTeam Update

At the end of May Michael Schüller left our IntelliTeam due to a job offer.  We are happy for Michael, that he found a great job, and wish him all the best! In return, we would like to announce our new IntelliTeam member, Bernhard Dumphart, student at the Center of Sport Science and University Sports of the University of […]

Nominated for the Best Paper Award! Yessss ….

Hey guys, we have some great news! Our submitted abstract “Ground reaction force measurements for gait classification tasks: Effects of different PCA-based representations” has been nominated at the ESMAC conference  for the Best Paper Award. The hard work payed off and now we are very proud to announce that we will present our paper at the 26th Annual […]

ESMAC – Abstract accepted for presentation

Great news! Our submitted abstract “Ground reaction force measurements for gait classification tasks: Effects of different PCA-based representations” was accepted for the 26th annual meeting of the European scientific society for clinical gait and movement analysis (ESMAC) taking place this year in Trondheim, Norway from the 6-9  September. See you in Trondheim!

Poster presented

From the 29th to the 31st of March the 10th Annual Meeting of the German Society for Biomechanics (DGfB) was held at the Medical University of Hannover (Germany). Caterine Schwab presented  a poster dealing with our reliability analysis and the dependency of reliability by different hip joint center estimation techniques (for details see our publication […]

5th meeting held at the Institute of Sport Science

On the 15th of March the project partners of the Children’s Knees Study once again met to discuss important steps in the project and to talk shop about complicated biomechanical analysis stuff (what researchers do usually). The meeting took place at the Institute of Sport Science of Vienna. As our project comes into the final stage the […]

Results of reliability analysis published

Great news volks! A paper dealing with the reliability of our 3D kinematic measurement methods was accepted for publication in the Journal of Gait & Posture. The title of our lovely paper is: Within-assessor reliability and minimal detectable change of gait kinematics in a young obese demographic. A link to the full text will be provided […]

Annual meeting held at the AUVA

The entire IntelliTeam met this week (11.01.2017) for the annual “Research Workshop” at the Weißer Hof, AUVA in Klosterneuburg. The team discussed critical points in the project, defined the road map for 2017 and also had some coffee (just as researcher do). So stay tuned for upcoming information and results in our project. We´re already […]

First Dataset available

Great news! We have worked hard in the last months to extract a first dataset comprising several hundred anonymized ground reaction force data. This dataset will be used to develop the first pattern recognition algorithms. So stay tuned for more …
